It is as simple as that.

"Normal goods" and "Sensitive goods" refer to different types of products with varying handling and shipping requirements. Here's a breakdown of the differences between the two:

Normal Goods:

Normal goods, also known as general goods or non-sensitive goods, are products that do not pose any significant risks during transportation. These goods are typically common items that are not hazardous, perishable, or fragile. When shipping normal goods, the handling and storage requirements are standard, and there are no special regulations or restrictions associated with their transportation.

Examples of normal goods include clothing, electronics (No Battery), furniture, and most everyday consumer products.

Sensitive Goods:

Sensitive goods, on the other hand, refer to products that require special handling and care during transportation due to their nature, fragility, value, or potential hazards. Sensitive goods can include items like electronics (with Batteries), pharmaceuticals, chemicals, perishable goods, valuable artwork, or any products that are delicate, dangerous, or high in value.

When shipping sensitive goods in China, there are specific regulations and guidelines that need to be followed to ensure the safe and secure transportation of these items. These regulations may include temperature-controlled storage, special packaging, security measures, and compliance with customs and import/export regulations.

Examples of Sensitive Goods include Branded Products, Liquid, Beauty Products, Medicine, Products Containing Batteries, CDs, DVDs, Powders etc.

Always check with us if you are unsure whether we are able to ship your products.

How to Determine Chargeable Weight for Shipments?

The volumetric weight of a shipment, also known as dimensional weight, is a calculated value reflecting cargo density. Generally, less dense items occupy more space than denser items of the same weight. Actual weight represents the physical weight of your cargo.
To calculate volumetric weight, use the formula LxWxH (in CM) / 6000 to obtain the dimensional weight in kilograms.
Chargeable Weight is the higher value between the calculated volumetric weight and the actual weight of a shipment.

Here are examples of calculating Chargeable Weight:

**1. Actual Weight is Greater than Volumetric Weight:**

Consider a shipment comprising 3 boxes/cartons, each weighing 5 kg, with dimensions of each box being 18 x 18 x 24 cm. Actual Gross Weight = 3 boxes x 5 kg = 15 kg

Volumetric Weight in kg = (18 x 18 x 24) x 3 boxes / 6000 = 3.89 kg

Since 15 kg is greater than 3.89 kg, the Chargeable Weight will be 15 kg, which, in this case, is the Actual Weight.

**2. Volumetric Weight is Greater than Actual Weight:**

Imagine a shipment consisting of 3 boxes/cartons, each weighing 15 kg, with dimensions of each box being 38 x 60 x 45 cm. Actual Gross Weight = 3 boxes x 15 kg = 45 kg

Volumetric Weight in kg = (38 x 60 x 45) x 3 boxes / 6000 = 51.3 kg

Since 51.3 kg is greater than 45 kg, the Chargeable Weight will be 51.3 kg, which, in this case, is the Volumetric Weight.
